This is a design that works with the place, extracting from it advantages for the work. Thanks to its exceptional location in relation to the city, the sea and the mountains that provide a backdrop, the building stands out as a monumental landmark that forms a worthy finish to the great long beach of Las Canteras, adopting the air of a protective fortress and a guiding lighthouse. Vistas of the Atlantic are commanded from practically all points, including in spectacular fashion from the main auditorium through a great window behind the stage. The island’s exceptional climate made it possible to create an architecture where only the concert halls required heating. Standing behind the auditorium are the music school, the gardens and the plaza over the car park.
