This is a minimalist, small-scale table, designed for working at home. It was the beginning of the Yuppie period, many of whom would bring work home. The metal structure is strengthened by the T-junctions and based on cylinders which also function as wheels.

    The table top has a concave form, and the right-hand edge incorporates the functions of a mini-filing cabinet with a number of suede bags to hold papers and other desktop objects. Leather is present in three forms in the table: rigid in the base, cushioned on the table top, and loose and flexible on the side. This design figured in the exhibition, “Il tavolo” (The Table), held in Milan in 1983, in which a number of designers offered the outcome of their study of this item, so closely linked with architecture.
