After 20 years of experience with the bench Catalano, Clotet and OTB set about resolving a number of shortcomings they had detected. The sole weak points were its vulnerability to vandalism and a certain lack of comfort in the gluteal region. The seating surface therefore, was replaced by a flat seat of galvanised or painted steel, with rounded perforations.

    In compositional terms, the piece was divided into two parts, seat and backrest, and a number of modifications were made, lengthening the module from 100 to 125 cm. The changes were undoubtedly an improvement; however, the magic of the 1974 original continued to shine.
