This was an exercise in styling and geometry. A sinuous, classic water-bottle with slip-resistant grooves was given four vertical right-angled slits, which in turn gave it four smooth surfaces. The bottle is thereby made to fit more easily into a refrigerator-door shelf. The top can also be used as a tumbler, making it ideal for use on the bedside table to assuage night thirst.
