Ancla Roja, 1968-1969

Location: Salou, Tarragona

Architects: Oscar Tusquets Blanca and Lluís Clotet

Built area: 1.800 m2

Constructed right on the sea front. Priority was given to taking advantage of this and so the size and design of the terraces became the leitmotiv of the project. The terraces are very wide, located on the corner and protected by rigid roller blinds. Thus we managed to create some well-ordered pleasant and intimate intermediate spaces. The blinds do not reach down to the floor, but only to the handrail of the glazed parapet, so that the sea can always be seen.
