Cuenco Manos Rosadas, 2000

Producer: Cleto Munari

(Limited edition of three)

The beauty of this goblet cannot be enjoyed with the eyes only; one has to hold it in one’s hands. The bowl of the goblet reproduces the shape of one’s cupped hands when trying to hold a liquid. The stem reproduces the shape of the water that escapes between the fingers and the resulting puddle forms the base: hence, it is completely transparent and colourless, while the bowl is pink and translucent.

The intention of the project becomes clear as soon as you hold the goblet by the bowl with both hands and let your fingers fit into the grooves in the glass.

Never abstract or decorative, always figurative and cognitive.
