This project was done with Clotet before we had finished our studies, and it aimed to explain many more things than what could fit in a single project. It was a commission that the MBM studio had received, and Oriol Bohigas decided to pass it on to some promising young architects, so we took it ahead with the goal of finding a 'system' capable of responding to the demands of any interior renovation. We aimed to create an atmosphere of luxury, suitable for the high-fidelity (hi-fi) standard of the time. In the basement, we created a comfortable and intimate listening area where people could enjoy the quality of the new and sophisticated sound system or attend a private jazz concert. The anti-reflective showcase was inspired by a London store. It is now destroyed.
