Production
The Catalano is inspired by the mesh of the benches in the Olympic Village in Munich and its section is copied from Antoni Gaudí's bench-balustrade in Park Güell.
It is comfortable in the two positions that it allows, transparent, warm in winter and cool in summer, and it does not accumulate dust or humidity. In modules one metre wide it can be extended as much as desired.
It is made of perforated and unfolded metal sheet —deployé—, which gives consistency and lightness to the whole.
It is one of the leading designs of my collaboration with Lluís.
