Almost 50 paintings from different periods -from 1976 until a few days before the opening-  gathered under two eternal themes: Love and Death, Eros and Thanatos.

     Alongside the paintings, objects -chairs, sculptures, candleholders- that are already unique and that will also be exhibited for sale. A Dalilips, a Xai and a video on OTB Architect, complete an exhibition that aims to provide an overview of the artist.

The Catalano Bench turns 40

BD Barcelona Design, OTB and Lluís Clotet held in the showroom of Ramon Turro the fortieth anniversary of the classic Banco Catalano. A bouncy Dj, many Gintonics and Catalan sausage nice and enlivened the pre-summer evening that Barcelona gave us this June 5.

    Customers and friends enjoyed the presentation of the new series of bench, created and painted in four striking colors, especially for this anniversary.

“Design meets art”:  Bd introduces Xai at Salone di Milano

OTB attends the Feria di Milano opening day on the occasion of the Xai’s presentation in this trade fair.  The event brought together Jayme Hayon, Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien, Bd designers who did also show their novelties.

In the second picture, Hayon and OTB being interviewed and, in the fourth one, the model and friend Antonia Dell’Atte.

Dalinian Xai World Premiere in Plaza Real

    As part of the exhibition The taxidermist organized by Setba foundation (nº 10 of Plaça Reial ) and dedicated to remember the famous shop-museum located a few meters of the property was submitted Xai, the last piece designed by OTB based on Salvador Dalí’s drawings.
    Peio Rahola and OTB explained the process of the project from the Paris chance meeting in Dreyole, which Peio is director, to the finals steps like the pieces of joinery or the “esclops ", the slippers shoes that wears the lamb . It was clarified that all naturalized animal chosen are for being consumed, and that the 20 chosen to be Xais lambs come from Provence. And to be faithful to the Catalan said : "i un be negre amm potes rosses" (and one black lamb with blond legs”) are seeing a black lamb to be a unique piece. Tusquets is convinced that the great Master of Surrealism would have liked this idea.
    Peio Rahola explained that he remember when he was a child, arround 10 or 12 years old, he saw Dalí coming to Deyrolle store, where he was a regular customer, and he was carrying a live ocelot. It was also commenting the great loss for the city the closure of the taxidermist store in Barcelona, ​​and being present the great-granddaughter of the first founder of this trade, she testified the difficulties , the lack of support , both social and public institutions, which had to deal their families.
    At the beginning of act a rhino naturalized went down the facade through a crane , it was in the square for a while and gave way to the Xai do the same way to get into the headquarters of the Foundation Setba. Dalí used this rhino to star one of his usual performances: allowed to shoot up to him, surrounded by children, in the same plaza. The year was 1960.
